1. Questions about the general concept of the platform

Who can participate here, who may engage in trade?

The pvXchange GmbH provides a business-to-business trading platform through which vendors and potentialbuyers shall be connected in a simple and transparent way. Due to the fact that commodity contingents invarious sizes are sold at trade prices we are obligated to exclude end customers and external industriesfrom the viewing of sensible data through the standard registrations processes. All price information aswell as most entry forms are therefore in a password protected area.

Admitted to the online trade, meaningthe sending of concrete requests or orders and the offering of commodity contingents, are only members who authorised themselves towards pvXchange as a specialised company through an extract from the trade register or a business registration.


How much does the usage of pvXchange.de cost?

Basic membership with pvXchange is free. You will have unlimited access to the pvXchange trading platform with your membership. Other services can be booked additionally on payment of a fee. We will inform you of the structure of rates and charges of our supplementary services personally and on these sites. Before using a service which is to pay, the member will always be informed of the costs incurred and asked for his/her consent – there are no hidden offers subject to charge at pvXchange.


Is the placement of offers or requests free of charge?

Yes! Firstly, it is completely free for our registered members to publicize offers or requests on our online market place. Just when a commodity contingent is mediated we are asking for a service fee of 0.5 - 2% of the transaction volume (success orientated turnover commission) when the sale is made. This is varying according to product type and the amount of turnover but will be agreed upon precisely before the placing. Guides for the according turnover commissions can be viewed on the current table of fees which you can request as a vendor from us. Please use our contact form.
Please note that our minimum commission on module trading is 100 Euro per mediation.


What happens to my request?

The information you are providing us through the entry of a request in the according form will be publicized on our online trading platform after it has been reviewed by us, if there are no similar entries, yet. There, they are visible for all of our registered members. Vendors of according products can contact us there upon and we will initiate the contact between the two parties. Additionally, we are looking actively for offers in our environment that suit your input or will point out existing offers that are generally corresponding. We reserve us the right to not publish every request on the platform if similar entries already exist. Our agents are dedicated with every request to find the fitting offer.


Where do the offers come from?

The commodity offers on the pvXchange market place can come directly from the wholesaler and specialised dealer, but are also offered by smaller handcraft businesses that cannot install their solar technicalcomponents themselves for the end customer because of capacity reasons or do not want to store them for a longer time. We are very concerned about the correctness of all data and ask for documentation of the origin and actual access of the commodity within our scope.


Where do the requests come from?

Requests can generally be placed by any user of the platform who went through the registration processwhere name and email address are provided. pvXchange will then check if it is a request from a specialised firm or an end customer and will mark the offer accordingly. We want to use the increased spreading of the internet to provide our members a broad spectrum of subject specific requests.

How does the registration work?

You can reach our registration form through our login site. Should you not be completely sure about a membership with pvXchange you have the option to send us your email address there as well. We will send you further information about the platform and the conditions of membership right away, that you can read unhurriedly.

For the actual registration we are using a comprehensive form. Please take some time and fill out all fields as detailed as possible. There are several mandatory fields that are required to be filled out in order to complete the registration process. Should you have any doubts about the conformance of the asked content, you can leave annotations or explanations at the end of the form. With the exhaustive and truthful completion of the form you will speed up the authorisation process and help to avoid queries from us.

Why do I have to enter so much data for the registration?

pvXchange publishes sensitive data like trade prices or internal market information. Therefore we wouldlike to make sure, that our members are actually specialised firms. The requested information will help usto get to know our customers and to avoid queries from us. The intermediation of deals through pvXchange is primarily based on the common trust principle. Which documents do I have to have handy for the registration?

Please have next to your company data and contact information also your trade register entry, tax number, sales tax identification number or registration of business - depending if your business is a business partnership or a capital company. You can further speed up the registration process if you send usa fax at the end of the entry of all data with your current excerpt from the commercial register orbusiness registration. How is my data protected?

pvXchange GmbH will forward the name, address, email address and if necessary more business relevantinformation of the member after the successful deal mediation to the according business partner for the completion of the contract. Other than that pvXchange GmbH is obligated to keep all personal data gathered in the deal approach or business secrets of the members absolutely confidential and to not make them available to third party members.

 

3. Questions about the participation in the online trade



How do I find the right offer for my project?

You have a prospective customer offer or wrapped already for which you have offered a specific panel or inverter type. However, these are not deliverable at the moment and you cannot find the according article on the pvXchange platform either. In this case you should take another closer look at the data in the product info centre. In many cases the intended types can be replaced with other types after a reconfiguration of the system. We are happy to support you should you need assistance with this.


I need the shown panel/inverter type, but not in the shown quantity!

Please contact us should you only need subsets of the offered contingents. We will then look jointly for a way how to provide you with the desired commodity. There are the possibilities that we can find further offers for you, combine several requests or to mediate the remaining quantity at advantageous conditions after the total contingent is acquired.


The requested types/quantities do not match my range of goods, what can I do?

Please speak to us so we can find an ideal solution for the mediation of your commodity contingent. In many cases offers or requests are combinable, projects rearranged or large contingents simply split into several small ones and then offered on the pvXchange market place.


Which price shall I enter into the offer or request forms?

The achieved purchase and sales prices on pvXchange are reflecting more or less the current price standard on the photovoltaic market. Please compare your entry with already finished offers, meaning commodity contingents that were successfully mediated through this platform or those that could not be mediated. The information contained there about the product, the offer or sale prices and the processing conditions will help you to phrase your own offer or request. Which conditions commonly need to be fulfilled by an offer to be placed on pvXchange?

  • Original data sheet of the manufacturer/distributor has to be available and complete
  • Warranty conditions need to be formulated clearly or authenticated respectively (e.g. in form of a warranty certificate from the manufacturer)
  • IEC-Certificate should be verifiable available should it be mentioned in the data sheet
  • Proof of single measurements needs to be able to be provided in case capacity or tolerance discrepancies of the offered commodity compared to the information on the data sheet exists
  • Payment conditions need to be formulated clearly; in case advance payment is requested security services from the seller should be offered in return

Why do I not see any prices?

You are still in the public section of the pvXchange site. All sensitive data, which the resale prices belong to, are only visible to registered members. Please be appreciative of this information only being available to specialised companies of the solar and electrical industry. Please use our registration form to get the access data and participate in the online trade should you belong to this group.


How do the offer prices come about?

The current price for the commodity offered on the pvXchange market place will be determined from the vendor at first. Subsequently, the pvXchange team will lead negotiations with the vendor acting for all platform members for an attractive price in line with the market. The resulting sales price, that includes the small negotiation provision, will be publicised within the offer description. The potential buyer will therefore see the exact price that is to be paid upon acceptance of the offer without having to face any extra costs.


How do I react to an interesting offer?

Firstly, please click on "send request>>". A contact form will open with the according offer data and your personal customer number. You can use this form for the requests of partial contingents. Please formulate subsequently in the message field your question, your concern or your order. This will be binding after the confirmation through pvXchange.


What happens next after I react to an offer?

The offers displayed on the pvXchange market place come from various vendors. Usually, they are not offering their commodity exclusively on pvXchange and reserve their right for a prior sale. That is why the pvXchange team contacts according vendors immediately when an interest is shown. If all other expectations about the course of business between you and the vendor are met (conditions, payment and delivery details, etc.) you will be notified per email, fax or phone. Should the commodity be out of stock, you will obviously be notified as well. Please be appreciative of sometimes not immediate responses. It is possible that the contact to the vendor cannot be established right away.

Your notification in case of a successful negotiation will contain detailed descriptions of the offer and the conditions of handling and contact information of the vendor as well as a prepared order form. At the same time the vendor will be given your contact data. Subsequently, you will get in touch with each other through you sending your signed order to the vendor and him sending you the confirmation of the contract in return. This way the business between you is binding.


What can I do if I am unsatisfied with the course of business?

Should it be the case that you are unsatisfied with the handling or service, please contact us immediately. We will then try to elaborate the reasons and solutions together so that you will not have further inconveniences in the future. We would also like to ask you to give a fair evaluation of your business partner which then will be considered in our member ranking. This ranking will help other members to assess potential business partners. We will examine if an exclusion of a company from all trading activities is justified, should this member repetitively gain negative assessments.

 

5. Questions about the handling of the site


Why is my access data not accepted even though I have entered it correctly?

We are using only letters in lower case and numbers for our automatically generated passwords. Please check if you have accidentally entered an upper case 'I' or the number '1' instead of a lower case 'l' for instance. The best way is to insert the password out of the email we have sent you into the according field using copy&paste (copy: highlight, Ctrl+C; paste: Ctrl+V) - you can avoid entry mistakes best using this method.


The product I am offering is not shown in the data base yet, how can I enter a new product?

At this moment there is unfortunately no entry form for new products. Please tell us the manufacturer and type description or send us a current data sheet. We will then enter the product into our data base immediately so that prospective customers can access all relevant information from your offered article.


The product I am offering is shown in the data base correctly, however, some values do not match with my details!

Please tell us the discrepancies you have discovered. We will check if there was an entry mistake or the article has to be entered as a new product into our data base.


How do I search offers and requests on the market place?

The offer listings can be searched and filtered by our filter functions on top of each listing. You may filter by nominal power, total power or manufacturer. By choosing the "number of displayed offers per page" you can adjust how many results will be shown on one page. Once you have done all settings please click on "update page" to complete your request. If you want to save your setting for faster access to your favourite offers, please click below on "save these settings".
By checking "show only sold offers" you can display offers that have been sold in the past. If you have more than one result page you can navigate through these pages by clicking on "<<previous" or "next>>" as well as the displayed page numbers. Please note: you can re-sort the lists by clicking on the arrows on top of the offers!
