Service Description of PV Components for Resale

  1. Manufacturer specifications
The solar components sold by pvXchange are replacement and storage goods, remaining stocks, special items and items from insolvency assets. The (type) specifications of the manufacturer (product data sheet for the corresponding production year) apply, subject to the modifications and restrictions stated below. pvXchange does not provide assurance that a manufacturer's guarantee exists for sold products.

  2. Notice concerning performance capacity of PV components and loss of performance for solar modules
Solar modules are subject to degradation. The rate of degradation is particularly dependent on the technology in question. Please refer to the product data sheet for the relevant production year for the modules in question. Furthermore, pvXchange would like to point out that it does not possess any information concerning the type and method of handling of the used class C goods, for example if the products were subjected to climatic conditions, any incorrect handling / assembly, damage during transportation, reduction in performance due to fire, hail or damage by animals. As far as this damage is known, it will be described or pointed out within the provided sales offers.

  3. Notes concerning the inspection of the goods by pvXchange
Apart from class B0 and C0, the solar components offered by pvXchange are subject to a visual inspection. In the course of the visual inspection, the products are checked for optical defects, which could lead to functional and performance risks. B and C goods are subject to a full visual inspection (except class B0 and C0). For class A goods, only a visual inspection of the packaging is carried out. Functionality will be tested on not original packaged inverters (except class B0 and C0), if necessary operating hours and energy value (kWh) as well. For PV modules, no performance check (so-called flash test) in general takes place. If provided by the manufacturer / supplier, for class A and B goods, the flash values of the modules are stated on request. pvXchange does not provide a guarantee nor accept liability for the flash values calculated by the manufacturer / supplier. In addition, if requested by the customer, pvXchange can carry out flash tests and testing procedures for all module categories, in order to specifically analyse the state of the module (for example electroluminescence checks). The customer shall bear the costs of the preparation (for example cleaning of the modules) and the performance of the tests and inspection procedure as well as any transport costs incurred. The said costs shall be invoiced separately. The sale of used goods (class C goods) takes place “purchased as seen” to the exclusion of any guarantee. Prior to purchasing the products, the customer shall be free to carry out an independent inspection of the used goods on site. This must be notified to pvXchange at least two working days prior to the requested inspection time. The customer shall bear the costs of the inspection, including the costs of the delivery and storage of the items and any new packaging. The said costs shall be invoiced separately too.
